London Wedding Photographer at The Depot: Tom and Dan Did It Their Way
Some weddings follow tradition. Tom and Dan’s wedding at The Depot in London did the exact opposite, and it was all the better for it. This was a celebration packed with personality, style, music, laughter and the kind of energy that reminds you weddings should feel like you. As a London wedding photographer days like this are exactly why I love what I do.
Their wedding began at The Megaro Hotel, where they chose to get ready together. No separate rooms, no old-fashioned rules, just the two of them spending the morning side by side, calm, excited and completely in sync. It set the tone perfectly for everything that followed.
The room itself felt like it had been designed especially for them. Red décor, music-inspired styling, and details that looked straight out of a set design. Pure coincidence, apparently. Even the bathroom had an illuminated “ON AIR” sign when occupied. Considering Tom works in the music industry, it genuinely could not have been more fitting if they had planned it for months.
And then came the outfits.
Dan absolutely stole the room in a sensational white jumpsuit paired with a Taylor Swift jacket that brought attitude, fun and serious style points. Tom matched the vibe perfectly in pinstripe flares, jacket and a bold red leopard print shirt that only someone confident can pull off. Together, they looked iconic.
Creative London Wedding Photographer Moments at The Depot
Once we arrived at The Depot, it was obvious why they had chosen it. This is not your typical wedding venue, and that was exactly the point. Industrial, characterful and effortlessly cool, it suited Tom and Dan down to the ground. The setting echoed everything about them: relaxed, modern and completely unapologetic.
Their ceremony was full of warmth, laughter and emotion, with guests instantly feeding off the couple’s energy. Nothing felt forced. Nothing felt performative. It just felt real.
The celebrations kept building from there. One of their close friends, Dan from Bastille, performed before the speeches, which added another unforgettable moment to an already brilliant day. Guests were loving every second, and the music thread running through the wedding kept getting stronger.
Tom even received a congratulations card from Mick Jagger! Casual. Some people get toasters. Tom gets a note from rock royalty!
I was also joined by Charlene from Love Gets Sweeter Weddings, who was capturing the day on video and helping preserve every wild, stylish and emotional second.
Dancefloor Energy to End the Night at The Depot
If you thought the style peaked earlier in the day, think again.
Dan later changed into a jaw-dropping red dress ready for the dancefloor, and it was every bit as bold and brilliant as you would expect. The room erupted once the party began.
There were shapes being thrown everywhere, shots being shared, hugs, laughter, singing and the kind of dance floor chaos every couple secretly hopes for. Tom and Dan were right in the middle of it all, leading from the front and squeezing every drop out of their wedding day.
The Depot proved the perfect backdrop for a wedding that refused to be ordinary. Tom and Dan created a day built around who they are, not what tradition says it should be. Honest truth: more couples should take notes.
As a London wedding photographer, weddings like this are gold. Real people, real style, real moments, and absolutely no playing small.
