Discover the charm of The Outbarn through candid, documentary wedding photography that captures every unscripted laugh, tear, and unforgettable moment in this stunning Ribble Valley venue
Beth and James’ wedding at The Outbarn kicked off in style. From the moment I arrived at bridal prep, the atmosphere was electric – music playing, laughter filling the air, and that kind of joyful chaos that sets the tone for the rest of the day. Everyone was in high spirits, and I could already tell this was going to be a day to remember.
The celebrations started with the phenomenal GFORCE Gospel Choir performing during the ceremony and drinks reception. Their harmonies filled the barn with emotion – guests swayed, smiled, and wiped away a few happy tears. The energy they brought created such a warm and uplifting start to the day. Followed by absolute hilarity during the ceremony where James was attached by a wasp mid vow exchange.
Once everyone sat down for the wedding breakfast, the day took a hilarious turn. The Outbarn’s resident rooster made an appearance, boldly strutting between tables and helping himself to food from guests’ plates. Laughter erupted, phones came out to capture the moment, and it became one of those unforgettable wedding stories that will be retold for years.
With the perfect summer weather, The Outbarn’s surrounding countryside was at its absolute best. Before the evening kicked into full swing, we stepped outside for a short golden hour portrait session. The warm, soft light created stunning, natural images – the kind of portraits that feel timeless yet relaxed, perfectly capturing the joy of the day.
As the sun began to lower, Skylight Band took the stage for the evening party. They had the dance floor packed from the very first song, and the atmosphere only got wilder as the night went on. From classic anthems to upbeat crowd-pleasers, they kept the energy high until the very end.
From the vibrant start of bridal prep to the music-filled ceremony, the comedy of the rooster, the energy of the evening band, and the romantic golden hour portraits, Beth and James’ wedding had everything. The Outbarn’s unique blend of rustic charm, open countryside, and versatile indoor spaces make it a dream location for summer celebrations.
Beth and James’ wedding proved you don’t need to leave the UK to have a day that feels like a destination celebration. The weather, the setting, and the atmosphere were every bit as magical as a wedding abroad.
